His translations of Catullus were published by Carcanet as <em>The Books of Catullus<\/em> (2018), and he appeared on the \u2018In Our Time\u2019 programme on BBC Radio 4 in 2020 to talk about Catullus and translation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Between 2006 and 2022 Simon Smith taught poetry, translation and creative writing at the University of Kent, London South Bank University and the Open University.
